At Sofa Box, we aim to make your delivery experience as smooth as possible. Here’s a quick overview:

Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location
Local Deliveries: We charge £1.50 per mile from our unit in Peterborough (PE2 6WA)
Nationwide Deliveries (Over 100 miles): £149

UK Wide Delivery
We offer one or two-man delivery UK wide. All deliveries will be one-man unless requested. For ground floor deliveries, we use a moving trolley. If your sofa needs to be lifted (stairs or tight spaces), please ensure there’s someone to assist. For larger sofas (over 198cm), extra assistance may be required. If you cannot help, we can arrange a 2-man delivery for an additional charge. Please inform us of the delivery floor and whether you require 1-man or 2-man delivery assistance.

Delivery Timeframe
Delivery is usually within 3-5 working days. Same or next day delivery may be available subject to availability. Due to space limitations we cannot store sofas for longer than 1 week.

Scheduling & Notifications
After placing your order, we’ll contact you to arrange a 2-hour delivery window that suits your schedule. On the day of delivery, we’ll confirm your slot and send you a text with an exact ETA once our driver is on the way.

Preparing for Delivery
Please ensure there’s sufficient space for the sofa to be delivered into your home. Our team will take great care, but we recommend clearing paths and preparing the delivery area in advance.

Missed Delivery
If you miss your delivery, please contact us to reschedule. Additional charges may apply for redelivery.

We offer a variety of payment methods for both local and nationwide deliveries:

• Cash or Bank Transfer on delivery (available for local deliveries and only for deliveries scheduled within 3 days of placing the order)
• Bank Transfer (to be completed after checkout)
• All Major Credit/Debit Cards
• Apple Pay and Google Pay for quick and secure payments
• Buy Now, Pay Later through Klarna, allowing you to spread the cost of your purchase with no interest when paid within the agreed period

For deliveries outside of our local area, we cannot offer Cash or Bank Transfer on delivery as we use courier companies who cannot deal with payments.

For local deliveries scheduled more than 3 days in advance, we are unable to offer Cash/Bank Transfer on delivery because our stock moves quickly, and last-minute cancellations prevent us from reselling the sofa during that time.
