Sofa Box is a UK-based company specializing in the sale of new and used sofas. Our products are sold to customers within the United Kingdom.
Product Information
- Renewed and Ex-Display Sofas: Our sofas are sold “as seen” and are not eligible for return or refund except in cases of delivery damage.
All sofas offered by Sofa Box are ex-display and/or pre-owned items and may therefore exhibit signs of previous use, including but not limited to marks, scuffs, or other imperfections. Every effort has been made to provide accurate and representative photographs; however, we cannot guarantee that all details or minor flaws are fully captured. Variations in colour may also occur due to lighting conditions or individual screen settings. By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges and accepts that the item is sold as described and as shown in the listing.
Orders
- By placing an order on our website, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.
- Sofa Box reserves the right to cancel orders at our discretion, including but not limited to cases of suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, or unavailable stock.
Pricing and Payment
- All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT unless otherwise specified.
- Payment is required at checkout. We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods as indicated on our site.
Shipping and Delivery
- Delivery Times
Delivery is typically 3-5 working days depending on availability and location. We will contact you to schedule a convenient delivery date. - You will receive a 4 hour time slot the day before delivery, along with the driver tracking link, so you can track the drivers progress on the day. Please note the 4 hour time slot is a rough estimate and delivery time may be any time on that day or the following day.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the delivery address and contact details are accurate.
Returns and Refunds
- Renewed and ex-display sofas are non-returnable and non-refundable unless damaged in delivery. Any brand new sofas are eligible for returns per UK consumer regulations.
What if the Sofa Doesn’t Fit Into My House?
It is the customer’s responsibility to measure all entry points—such as doorways, hallways, staircases, and room dimensions—prior to placing an order to ensure that the sofa will fit into the intended space. Unfortunately, if the sofa does not fit upon delivery, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for this reason.In such cases, the item will be left safely outside the property at the delivery location. We strongly recommend reviewing our product dimensions and planning your space accordingly before completing your purchase.
Warranty
- Our sofas are sold “as seen” and come with no additional warranty beyond any disclosed at the time of sale. This is because we are unable to source parts from manufacturers.
Limitation of Liability
- Sofa Box will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products or website.
- Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item in question.
User Conduct
- You agree to use our website responsibly and refrain from any activity that may harm, disrupt, or damage our website or its users.
- Unauthorized use, such as hacking or attempting to access restricted areas of the site, is strictly prohibited.

Shipping Policy
Welcome to Sofa Box! We strive to make your delivery experience as smooth as possible. Here’s everything you need to know about our shipping and delivery process.
Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location
Local Deliveries: We charge £1.50 per mile from our unit in Peterborough (PE1 5UT)
Nationwide Deliveries (Over 100 miles): £149
Shipping & Delivery
We partner with AnyVan to provide a 2-man delivery service, ensuring your sofa is delivered safely and handled with care. Delivery typically takes 3–5 working days from the date your order is confirmed. Once your order has been placed, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.
The day before delivery, you will receive a 4-hour delivery time slot, along with a driver tracking link that allows you to follow the driver’s progress on the day of delivery. Please note that this 4-hour time slot is a rough estimated time of arrival (ETA), and delivery may take place at any time during the scheduled delivery day. Exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed.
We recommend ensuring someone is available at the delivery address for the full delivery window. If you have any questions or need assistance with your delivery, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Delivery Timeframe
We aim to deliver your order within 3–5 working days, although delivery may be possible sooner depending on driver availability and your location. We’ll always do our best to get your sofa to you as quickly as possible.
Due to limited warehouse space, we’re unable to hold items for more than a week. If you'd like to arrange delivery for a later date, please contact us in advance, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
Delivery Areas
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom. For certain remote areas, delivery times may vary slightly due to logistical considerations. If you’re unsure whether we deliver to your area, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Preparing for Delivery
To ensure a smooth delivery, please ensure that there is adequate space to bring the sofa into your home. Our delivery team will take every care in handling your new or used sofa, but it’s helpful to prepare the area and any paths the team will need to access in advance.

Missed Delivery
If you're unable to receive the sofa at the agreed delivery time, please notify us as soon as possible to reschedule. If a delivery attempt fails due to the customer not being available at the scheduled time, additional charges may apply for redelivery.

Refund Policy
Sofa Returns
Our sofas are sold "as seen", which means they are sold in their current condition. Due to the nature of these items, all sales of sofas are final and are not eligible for returns or refunds, unless the item was damaged during delivery.
If you receive a sofa with an issue that wasn’t noted at the time of purchase, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at info@sofabox.co.uk. We will assess the situation and determine if an exception can be made.
