Welcome to Sofa Box! We strive to make your delivery experience as smooth as possible. Here’s everything you need to know about our shipping and delivery process.


Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location
Local Deliveries: We charge £1.50 per mile from our unit in Peterborough (PE1 5UT) with a minimum charge of £60
Nationwide Deliveries (Over 100 miles): £149


Shipping & Delivery

We partner with AnyVan to provide a 2-man delivery service, ensuring your sofa is delivered safely and handled with care. Delivery typically takes 3–5 working days from the date your order is confirmed. Once your order has been placed, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.

The day before delivery, you will receive a 4-hour delivery time slot, along with a driver tracking link that allows you to follow the driver's progress on the day of delivery. Please note that this 4-hour time slot is a rough estimated time of arrival (ETA), and delivery may take place at any time during the scheduled delivery day, up until midnight. Exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed.

We recommend ensuring someone is available at the delivery address for the full delivery day. Please note that on occasion the courier may need to reschedule your delivery to another day. This can happen for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to vehicle issues, traffic delays, staffing, or other circumstances outside our control. Where a delivery needs to be rescheduled, we will not be held liable for any resulting inconvenience, loss, or costs, and we will work with you to arrange the next available delivery date.

Delivery Timeframe

We aim to deliver your order within 3–5 working days, although delivery may be possible sooner depending on driver availability and your location. We’ll always do our best to get your sofa to you as quickly as possible.

Due to limited warehouse space, we’re unable to hold items for more than a week. If you'd like to arrange delivery for a later date, please contact us in advance, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.


Delivery Areas

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom. For certain remote areas, delivery times may vary slightly due to logistical considerations. If you’re unsure whether we deliver to your area, please don’t hesitate to contact us.


Preparing for Delivery

To ensure a smooth delivery, please ensure that there is adequate space to bring the sofa into your home. Our delivery team will take every care in handling your new or used sofa, but it’s helpful to prepare the area and any paths the team will need to access in advance.

It is the customer’s responsibility to measure all entry points—such as doorways, hallways, staircases, and room dimensions—prior to placing an order to ensure that the sofa will fit into the intended space. Unfortunately, if the sofa does not fit upon delivery, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for this reason.

In such cases, the item will be left safely outside the property at the delivery location. We strongly recommend reviewing our product dimensions and planning your space accordingly before completing your purchase.


Missed Delivery

If you're unable to receive the sofa at the agreed delivery time, please notify us as soon as possible to reschedule. If a delivery attempt fails due to the customer not being available at the scheduled time, additional charges may apply for redelivery.
